Established in 2011, Total Fire Safety is now trusted by some of the UK’s largest commercial and public landlords – including NHS Trusts, LEAs and PFI contractors - using Kykloud software to ensure they have total fire safety and protection across their estates.
As fire safety consultants they undertake fire risk assessments but increasingly provide an all-round service, identifying potential structural problems with buildings and installing appropriate fire pacifiers.
In order to advise it clients on the best long term course of action, Total Fire Safety needed to find a software solution to feed in to their existing systems that would help them to extract valuable decision making information from their survey data.
We spoke to Richard Lawson, founder of Total Fire Safety to find out how Kykloud is helping the business to offer its clients improved fire safety and protection, whilst fuelling its own growth.
“We were looking for a software solution that would enable us to conduct surveys more efficiently as well as making better use of the data we extract. The surveys we undertake are pretty complex – each component broken down in to 16 parts – so we recognised the need for a software solution which would allow us to not only extract all the data we needed but have the functionality to be able to use the data going forward to make data based decisions and minimise future spending.
“To be honest we were pretty much pre sold on the need to adopt mobile technology. As a relatively new business who represents some very large property owners we have grown our business on the back of our innovative approach. Having worked in fire safety for a number of years I set up Total Fire Safety to provide a more advanced yet manageable approach towards fire safety and risk management using the latest technologies.
“There are a few mobile surveying solutions on the market but we approached Kykloud because of its capacity to help us manage our data. The team were able to adjust the survey mandate to meet our exact needs and within a short space of time we were using it out on site on a huge client project which would traditionally have involved hundreds of pieces of paper and complex, often error-prone spreadsheets.
