We were delighted to be invited to the Ormiston Academies Trust Fundraising Dinner on the 12th March. More than just a valued client, Ormiston Academies Trust is also a fantastic charitable organization that supports over 25,000 students in 30 academies across the country.
At this year’s inaugural fundraising dinner, OAT raised thousands of pounds to grow and develop the support network for underprivileged students with the potential to continue their education at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
The black tie event held at the prestigious Grand Connaught Rooms was compered by entrepreneur and Apprentice winner Tim Campbell MBE. Special guests at the awards ceremony included adventurer, author and broadcaster Ben Fogle who gave an amusing account of his life and career to date.
Kykloud CEO, Ed Bartlett shared a table with guests from Barkers, EO Consulting, Bellrock Facilities Management and a number of other Academy clients. The event was also attended by the likes of Balfour Beatty, Grant Thornton and leading providers of education services.
After the event Ed said:
“It was a privilege to be invited along to such a worthwhile fundraising event. Not only was event well attended and the food delicious, but more importantly a huge sum of money was raised for a cause that is close to so many people’s hearts.
“Thanks to the work we do with OAT within their academies, we know what a difference they make to underprivileged and underperforming school students. Our work with the Academy is helping raise the standards of the built environment in which the students study, and it’s through events like this that they can raise the awareness and funds to continue to do so.”
Ormiston Academies Trust (which now includes nearly 30 schools) was one of the first academy trusts to manage multiple building projects, with more than £90million budgeted across nine academy projects. Kykloud is providing Ormiston with the technology to manage conditions, compliance and costs over the entire lifecycle of the estate.
