Kykloud’s mobile surveyor software and asset management software has been named The One to Watch in this year’s Construction Computing Awards.

Affectionately known as “The Hammers”, the Construction Computing Awards showcase and reward the technology, tools and solutions used to design, construct, maintain and modify commercial buildings, residential and social housing and civil engineering projects of all sizes.

The One to Watch category, was open to growing businesses with the potential to disrupt the market – exactly what Kykloud has been doing since its launch.

We are delighted that the panel of judges recognised Kykloud’s game changing surveyor software and the huge impact it is having on the industry as it really has been quite a year for us and the growing number of businesses who use us.

Five of the UK’s top 10 surveying firms now use the Kykloud mobile surveyor software and more than 40 million m2 (400 million sq ft) of buildings and assets have been surveyed with the software across 5 continents.

Our clients are widespread and include; surveying firms, engineering and construction companies, property consultants, NHS Trusts, universities, academies and schools and direct commercial clients.

Whilst its use is varied and widespread, every Kykloud user, regardless of use benefits from being able to collate and manage data more quickly and efficiently through the use of mobile technology.

Kykloud is BIM ready and its promotion of BIM beyond the construction phase has received praise from leading BIM experts.  Its role within BIM was recognised at government level earlier this year and Kykloud’s surveyor software was specifically highlighted by Government Minister Chloe Smith as a shining example of UK BIM Software at the launch of the BIMforSME initiative; a government endorsement of being a “one to watch” in the BIM space.

Only last week we scooped the winning spot in the highly contested BIM competition- Build Sydney Live – as part of the BIM Academy team.

This year we became the first cloud based surveyor software provider to be awarded the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Security Certification (ISO 27001) – the internationally recognised standard for certifying that a provider’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) protects its information and data and that of its customers.

As the only internationally accepted security standard, ISO 27001 demonstrates and ensures security best practices and a managed approach to business information protection including risk, governance and compliance.  It provides total reassurance and peace of mind to clients that their data is being managed and stored securely by a provider who has undergone vigorous testing.

So 2013 has definitely been a year of firsts and we are delighted to add our first ‘hammers award’ to this list.
